Policies

Our goal at All Paws Aboard is to provide your pets with the best care possible. Please take a moment to review our polices and do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions

Meet and Greets

An in-home interview or “Meet and Greet” is required for all new clients prior to our first scheduled visit. While we can tentatively pencil in your dates, we must meet you and your pets and assess your needs before we make a commitment to providing care for your pets. Due to the heavy scheduling over the weekends, our meet and greets are typically done weekday evenings after 5pm.

During the “Meet and Greet” we will have the opportunity to meet you and interact with your pet(s). We will review forms, sign agreements, and do a quick walk through to learn where your pet's supplies are including food, medicine, leashes, walking area, etc. We like to allow enough time to make sure all questions are asked and answered so please set aside a minimum of one hour. We strongly suggest this interview take place close to the start of our services so meeting us will still be fresh in your pet’s memory.

**Please have 2 copies of your key made prior to our meeting as well as your pets most recent vet records to show they are up to date with vaccinations.

Scheduling

To schedule a visit please call or email either Mary or Kim. Though we understand the convenience of leaving a note for your daily dog walker we must insist that all scheduling requests go through one of us to ensure that there is no confusion. We do not charge extra for last minute visits and will do our best to accommodate all of your requests. However, the earlier we know your needs the more likely we will be able to meet them.

Cancellations

To cancel a visit, please call or email either Mary or Kim. Notes to  your dog walker or pet sitter will not be accepted. If you need to cancel a visit please call at least 3 hours in advance of our scheduled arrival time. Cancellations made within 3 hours of a scheduled visit may be subject to a charge equal to 50%. If we arrive at your home and can not gain access, your pet is not at home, or if you simply no longer need the visit, you will be charged for the full amount of the scheduled visit.

Because of our high demand during holiday seasons, cancellations must be made at least 5 days prior to the first date of service to avoid a charge. Cancellations made within 5 days of the first holiday visit may be subject to a charge equal to 50% of the scheduled visits. Full charges will apply to cancellations made within 24 hours during holiday seasons.

We do understand that emergencies happen and we reserve the right to waive any fees for these situations.

Payments

Payment for dog walking services is due at the end of each week. For pet sitting visits, payment is due within 7 days of the last service provided. We accept cash or checks. Checks may be made payable to either "cash" or "All Paws Aboard Inc."  Payments may be left with the walker/sitter at the end of each week or mailed to All Paws Aboard Inc at 72 North State Rd #416, Briarcliff Manor NY 10510. For any balance extending over 7 days, we reserve the right to charge a daily late fee until the balance is paid in full. We also reserve the right to suspend service if a balance goes unpaid for more than 2 weeks.

We understand the current economical situation and have compassion for those affected. Please do not hesitate to speak with us if it becomes difficult to pay the weekly fees. As always, we will do our best to meet your needs and find a solution best for everyone.

Cancelled/Returned Checks

If a check is cancelled or returned for insufficient funds, you will be charged a $20 fee. If this happens more than once, you will be required to pay by cash or money order in advance before any future services will be rendered. We reserve the right to refuse services due to insufficient payment history.

Holiday Visits

All visits done on a holiday are subject to an extra fee. This charge also applies to any regularly scheduled visits that fall on a holiday. We encourage you to make reservations in advance for holiday visits, especially Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's as we book up quickly. 100% of this fee is given to the pet sitter caring for your home and pets on the holiday.

Additional fees of $5 per visit and $15 per day for overnights and boarding will apply on the following holidays:

Additional fees of $10 per visit and $30 for overnights and boardings will apply on the following holidays:

Extreme Weather Conditions

At All Paws Aboard, your pet’s health and safety is always our first concern. With this in mind, there may be a few days during the year that we need to change your scheduled visit as we adjust for the weather. In extreme hot and/or cold conditions we will shorten the length of your dog’s time outside. We will make sure they get a chance to do their business and spend the remainder of the visit indoors. During snow storms, we will not put any pets in our cars and will cancel all doggie play dates. No exceptions other than an emergency vet visit will be made.

Please call if you are staying home or returning home early due to bad weather. Our goal is to get everyone off of the roads and safely home as quickly as possible.

Overnight Pet Sitting

If you are nervous about leaving your pet alone overnight, this is the perfect option for you. We arrive at your home between 9PM and 11PM and stay over for no less than 10 hours so your pal doesn’t have to face the night alone. Overnights include walks in the morning, mid-day, at dinner time, and in the evening before bed.

Dog Boarding

Cage free boarding in our own home is the perfect alternative to kenneling your pooch. Whether it’s for one night or many, we happily welcome your dog into our homes to be part of our family. They will spend the day with their best friends and cuddle up with us at night. Dogs must be house broken and well socialized. First time boarders are required to do a one-night trial. Our own dogs love having their friends sleep over!

Pet Chauffeur

Having trouble finding the time to take your pet to their vet or groomer? Let us do it for you. Whatever the destination we’ll get your loved one there safe and on time.

Dog Training

Whether you’re housebreaking a new puppy or looking to add some new tricks to your dog’s repertoire, we can show you how. Over half of our staff consists of certified dog trainers who believe that training your dog should be fun for the whole family. We use gentle, positive reinforcement methods along with fun games to stimulate your dog's mind and encourage great behavior.
